According to all known laws of aviation, a bee shouldn’t be able to fly—its wings are too small to lift its fat body. But the bee flies anyway, because bees don’t care what humans think is impossible. Barry Benson, fresh out of bee school, questions a life destined only for honey work. At graduation, he and Adam explore Honex Industries, where every bee must pick one job forever. Barry balks at such a fate and follows daring Pollen Jocks outside the hive, experiencing the world. Caught in a rainstorm, he nearly dies but is saved by a human florist, Vanessa. Breaking bee law, Barry speaks to her, sparking an unlikely friendship. Learning humans harvest and sell honey, Barry sues mankind for exploitation. Against massive odds, he wins, freeing the bees—but the victory backfires as pollination halts and flowers wither. Realizing their mistake, Barry and Vanessa rally bees to restore balance, proving freedom requires responsibility.
