My little brother got banned for self-doxxing and dropping my full name in chat (allegedly our address too, but I didn't see that part). Now I'm perm banned for evasion???

He and I live in the same house, so we share a wifi network and ISP, so I may have been IP-banned? idk. Verte was a witness to this.

Sadly, if someone at your house gets a ban you also get a ban, we wont be removing the IP ban because if we do it will just allow your sibling to get on an alt and join the server. I will discuss with other directors if we want to remove the ban and just keep his account banned but we take doxxing very seriously even self-doxxing as you said because we have had issues in the past where people mention personal details about themselves and then either forge. decide they don't like the person mentioning details, or even just get made fun of for something. The people who self-doxxed then report them for doxxing with information they revealed on their own and we have to have a pain in the ass discussion about who deserves punishment.

Basically these situations suck, I'd talk to your little brother(idk how little) about proper internet safety shit and not to reveal his own or other peoples information it is a very important rule for using the internet.

but my little brother only got banned for a week? I don't understand how it makes sense for me to be permanently banned when he can come back in a few days? I'm okay with waiting the same time as him but not being able to play at all for something completely outside of my control is just unfair. Also I've been wanting to participate in the surf tournament on the 8th and now I have to completely miss it because of something my little brother did?
 
By the way, nothing I tell this kid will go through his head; he should know better than to dox him and me on the internet, but he doesn't care and will genuinely go out of his way to be a pain in my ass. I'll talk with my parents about this, but I honestly don't think they'll care much. I am not responsible for him, and I feel like I shouldn't be restricted from doing something I enjoy because of his actions. I didn't invite him to the server, and I try to distance myself from him online, but he joined the server through my Steam profile and decided to dox himself. However much of a dickhead he is, I do not think he'd go out of his way to make an alt account to fuck with me on a surf server, and I think you should reconsider unbanning me.
