Why should we unban you?
I understand what I did was wrong, however I think a month ban is a bit excessive. I had spammed paint under a ramp to get a reaction and then immediately cleared it. No one at the time seemed to be upset by it... no harm, no foul so I thought. Shortly after paint was (rightfully) removed someone was asking why it was gone, and I explained why and had told him that paint was causing lag, and could be used to grief as I had put paint under a ramp and it caused fps drops when people were looking at it. I was reported and banned due to that from what I gather.
All this explanation is to say yes, I was in fact breaking the rules. Yes, I was exploiting a bug. However, I was never actually maliciously griefing or doing it to such an extent that it would reasonably ruin a player's experience on the server. I feel as if a month ban is extreme in this circumstance, especially since I am a relatively established member of the community and tend to stay out of trouble (I have no prior bans, only very short mutes). I am genuinely sorry for abusing the bug and if I have caused any admins of the server I love being a part of to feel disrespected due to my actions. Lesson learned. Next time a similar bug is found I will simply report it
I understand that I have had my fair share of critiques about how the server is ran (including how paint was implemented), but I want to stress that it is out of a place of love for the community IG has built. I would like to apologize if my critiques have come across as harsh or insulting to the hard work the team has put in the server. I simply want the best for this community and will make sure to approach these things with a little more tact.
