While I'm definitely not the most serious, On the few occasions I've ended up in the position to moderate communities, I'd say I've done well.
I'd also say I tend to notice condemnable behavior, and if I can, I want to help out by addressing it.
(Can't put a number on it, but I definitely play a bunch and have a relatively long history with surf)

One of IG's top talents for surfing. Poke is one of the most down-to-earth people on the server and a pleasure to game and vibe with. I firmly believe he will be a great addition to the admin team.

The applicant had a friend on the server who abused votemute after being warned not to. (Not relitigating this just context.)

After the friend was then punished for the abuse the applicant took it upon themselves to hop into the discord and berate me continuously and try and litigate the ban in the discord even after being told multiple times to take it to the ban appeals part of the forums or make an admin complaint. Unfortunately being an admin means sometimes you have to punish people you like and not punish people you don't like if they don't break any rules, I have concerns based on that interaction that you may not be able to objective when it comes to muting or banning people you may consider friends. We have had to demote admins before due to abusing their admin powers to benefit and protect their friends .

I honestly think you're a great person and standup member of the community, but due to our last interaction and in my opinion your complete overraction due to your friends, (I think) 30 minute ban, I cannot in good faith give you a recommendation to be admin. I hope you can understand my reasoning. Best of luck to you in your application.

Poke is a great guy and one of the most solid people on Surf. He would absolutely be a great admin.
From a resource allocation standpoint, though, this is inefficient.
His value in creating maps far exceeds what he’d contribute through moderation.
Let him focus on where he has the biggest impact.

I'll keep it a bean, I berated you since my questioning of your arbitrary use of power led you to telling me, "If you have an issue with how I handled things, take it to the forums, otherwise go fuck yourself", Vote-mute abuse is/was a persistent issue, and within the same breadth of being abused by it, multiple instances of it occurred, you never handled these instances even while I mentioned the fact, and the instances that you did handle, you did so with lesser punishment + warnings prior to punishment, this leniency wasn't awarded to Elite. I shrimply found your methods disagreeable and your way of handling my distaste more so.. Not as if I would never have punished Elite in the first place as you're implying I wouldn't have?.. You even said in your reply here, "try and litigate the ban in the discord", when did I try to 'litigate' anything here?, I never tried to get Elite unbanned.. what did I even say that'd even get close to that? Pretty sure I was just going ape in the discord.

Something about your overtly serious and corporate way of framing everything about the situation at the time while you swept the instance of you telling me to go fuck myself under the rug.. I mean, it just left a foul taste in my mouth quite frankly and I decided to berate you in a very unserious and unprofessional way.. and of course, I regret my behavior, truly unbecoming of me.. Hopefully you can find the kindness in your heart to forgive me. :^)

I vaguely remember telling you to "Report it on the forums or drop it" but I really don't think I said "... Or go fuck yourself". If I did I'm sure vids of it would've been sent to spooky within 15 seconds flat with the amount of people who have shadow play on deck on that server.

It also wasn't an "arbitrary use of power", I warned the whole server the next person to votemute that I saw was going to get banned for an hour. At which point the next person who did that I saw got banned for an hour. The leniency was the warning someone ignoring said warning is unfortunately not something I can do anything about. It also really feels like we're here relitigating this specific instance instead of discussing why you would be a net positive to the admin team which is what these apps are for.

Fair enough point on litigating the ban in discord went back and read the messages and you did not in fact try to get your friend unbanned you wanted me to punish another player for "doing the same thing" event though I never actually saw that player do it. I can't ban people if I don't see them break the rules, because if I did it would be an abuse of power.

I have absolutely no ill-will towards you and have already forgiven you I guess if that's the right term honestly I was never mad about it, so there was nothing to forgive. I do however have to take that instance into account when it comes to responding to an admin app. I do wish you good luck on your app, and thankyou for all the time you put in on maps. From one person who spends his free time making surf better to another much respect.

+REP great surfer, is a net benefit for the surf society as he is helpful to newcomers and I have yet hear him say a racial slur (i've tried to pay him).

Talented surfer, map creator, and legendary community member. Poke is very in touch with surf culture and I can't imagine him abusing power. I have never seen Poke get rage baited or say a slur. Cool guy who spends a lot of time in the server, might as well give him mop to carry around to keep the place clean!
