Why were you banned?
I think a couple things got me banned here, mainly sending @everyone through surf text chat.

I also had my name as the longest possible steam name, I chose to use the name I was playing under when I got banned as the long one will probably cause issues. It consists of " ﷽̶" as many times as steam will let you have.

Why should we unban you?
I won't make my name the longest possible name in steam anymore. Regarding spamming, a lot of people were doing that as well but I was the only one to catch a 3 day ban for it. People had copied my steam name as they thought it was funny, and were doing the same thing. I'm not sure if the perceived volume is what caused me to get a 3 day ban, but a lot of the ones that had my name weren't actually me.

Regardless, I won't spam @everyone in surf chat anymore, apologies for any headaches that caused.

Hello Ashwaganda Steve / Queso / ﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶,

Upon joining, the first thing I see after loading into easy_surf is the text chat moving at 100 mph. The reason being that you were flooding it with RTV / UNRTV binds under the alias ﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶﷽̶.

You were also utilizing the Vote-Extend feature prior to spamming your binds, and that in turn made it almost impossible to recognize that there was even a vote in the first place! This forced many different people to play on a map they would have otherwise not wanted to stay on or cause our community members to leave as a result.

There may have been other individuals who were participating in the abuse but that does not make it right or okay.

A ban was issued as our normal mute/gag system would not prevent this issue from reoccurring, combined with the issue of sly initiation of the Vote-Extend feature.
These were both used in unison to forcefully extend the map, undermining the features our developers have set place to allow a fair option for all surfers we invite into our servers.

It was obvious of your true intentions with this behavior, and after further discussion with community director it has been decided that your ban will not be removed/reduced.
